The Harlord Family

The Harlord family was compiled by Spinnkrok in Electronic Arts game The Sims 2 for the Fellowship III, and since their story is to long to fit in the lot description - here it is. The pictures may in some ways be misleading - for more information, see below.*





Bridget Meyers daughter became Monica P. Harlord in marrying Marilla Harlords only son, Arthur P. Harlord. Soon enough the family expanded, first with the twins Trisha and June, later with Arther and finally little Iris came and made the family complete. Or at least that was what they thought...

One particulary rainy day Arthur and Monica P. Harlord came home, gathered the family together and proclaimed that all their lives were about to change! They had bought a piece of land that had a house custom made for their family - the kids wouldn't have to share rooms any longer. Bridget and Marilla glanced at each other. Could this really be true? Monica and Arthur wasn't famous for being long thinkers, but this sounded a bit too much even for their minds to come up with.

We haven't much time! Arthur said, feeling a bit queasy, but trying to hide it behind a big smile. Pack up our clothes and linen, leave the big stuff behind. We have to be on the spot early tomorrow morning. Don't worry, everything will be fine. The builders have thought of everything.

Yeah right.. those builders had to be psychic. Sure enough there were room for everyone, but when Arther ran around counting beds he could only get it to 6, five beds and a crib for Iris. There should have been a double bed for his mom and dad to sleep in, but that was it. Six sleeping spots. Wooden flooring and no wallpapers! But when he darted out to tell the rest of the family his foundings he stopped short. What was his daddy doing, hypnotizing his mother and biting her neck? When did he became a vampire? Arther had seen him hugging his big sister Trisha just a moment before, and he was all his old self then, wasn't he?










Arther rubbed his eyes and looked again, but the view was the same. His beautiful beloved mother, and his handsome father - Vampires. How could it be? Vampires or not, they were still as loving as ever, but that smoke didn't look too good. Next thing he new, his father had turned into a pile of ashes, his mother crying at his side. And then she did the same thing, right in front of his eyes! Arther couldn't believe what he saw. Two piles of ashes at his feet, and on the other side of them - a dark mist. He looked up and saw the Grim reaper laugh. He must have been the one planning this, he must have been! But how could it be?








Marilla was the first to pull herself together, she picked up their bags and went to make up the beds. Bridget cried. Trisha hugged little Iris and then went inside in search for a bottle. Arther and June talked silently of the dreadful event. Deep down they knew that their mother couldn't live without their father, were he went, she followed, not even death could tear their love apart.








What will become of them all in this desert country? It's up to you to decide, but I can tell you this. The first few days won't be easy.

* The packaged file for this lot ended up to be too big for me to upload, so I finally decided to get rid of the custom skintone, which nearly halfed the file size. I tried to follow the given statistics for my family, but I'm not sure that the ones with the previously custom skintone got the medium light one they should now have.

* The necklace Marilla has in the CAS picture is not included, it flashed blue, so I removed it.
